Parentica

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

1. Parties and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Parentica platform ("the Service") provided by Parentica ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Sweden. By accessing, registering for, or using the Service — whether directly or through an employer-provided account — you ("you", "the User") accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. The Service

Parentica is a specialist-led B2B learning and employee-benefit platform. The Service is provided to companies ("Customers") for the benefit of their employees and authorised users. Access may be provisioned by a Customer's administrator, and the Customer is responsible for ensuring its users are authorised to access the Service under its own policies and agreements.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or other accounts.
  • Share, transfer, or sell your account credentials or access rights.
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or resell course content, media, or materials without written permission.
  • Screenshot, screen-record, photograph, download, or otherwise copy or extract any course video, audio, eBook, PDF, or media content.
  • Introduce malware, scrape content, overload the Service, or interfere with its operation.
  • Use the Service to harass others or submit false, misleading, or defamatory information.

All content provided through the Service — including courses, videos, audio, documents, and specialist guidance — is protected by international copyright law. Unauthorised copying, sharing, or distribution is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly at info@parentica.app if you become aware of any unauthorised use or security breach. We may suspend or terminate access to protect the Service or its users.

5. Subscriptions, trials, and payment

The Service is offered under plans that may include trial, basic, and premium tiers, with pricing and terms agreed with the Customer. Trial access may be time-limited or subject to rotating credentials for demo purposes. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions renew and may be cancelled in accordance with the applicable plan. Continuous subscriptions remain active until manually deactivated by an authorised administrator.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, its branding, and its content. Customer branding uploaded for white-label display remains the property of the Customer, who grants us a licence to host and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service. No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.

All course content — including videos, audio recordings, eBooks, PDFs, and other media — is protected by international copyright law and may not be screenshot, screen-recorded, photographed, downloaded, copied, extracted, or redistributed by any means. Parentica employs forensic watermarking and technical measures to identify the source of any unauthorised redistribution. Any attempt to circumvent these protections — including through screen capture, recording devices, or third-party tools — constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, and claims for damages.

7. Disclaimer

The Service provides general educational and specialist-led guidance for informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and should not replace professional consultation suited to your specific circumstances. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Parentica, its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount the Customer paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, where no fee was paid, to a reasonable amount as determined under Swedish law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct regarding data protection.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parentica harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law and your agreement with your employer.

10. Data protection and GDPR

Protecting your personal data is of the highest importance to us. Our handling of personal data is described in detail in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you consent to the processing of personal data as described there. In summary, and without limitation:

  • All personal data is stored and processed within the EU/EEA on our secure cloud platform, operated by our data processor under a written Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
  • We act as data controller and determine the purposes and means of processing.
  • We do not sell personal data and do not allow any third party to retain your personal or confidential information for its own purposes.
  • Sub-processors are bound by GDPR-compliant agreements and may only process data on our instructions; any international transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
  • We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and row-level data isolation between users and companies.
  • In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the supervisory authority and affected users in accordance with Arts. 33–34 GDPR.
  • You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection at any time by contacting info@parentica.app.

Customers purchasing the Service on behalf of their employees enter into a separate Data Processing Agreement with Parentica governing the processing of employee personal data, available on request.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, or we may discontinue or modify the Service with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we will delete associated personal data in accordance with our retention policy and applicable law, unless retention is required to comply with a legal obligation.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the latest revision in the "Last updated" date above and notify users of material changes where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply to you. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Swedish law or your rights under the GDPR.
